TERRY MCDERMOTT gets a large surprise donation by fans to the ALS Association-LA/MS Chapter. In recognition of Terry McDermott’s birthday, his fan-base called the, McHobbits, created a private fund with the ALS Association-LA/MA Chapter (commonly known as Lou Gherig Disease) and raised $3,336.36 in 2 weeks in memory of Terry’s mum, Jean McDermott, who passed from ALS. His fans have dubbed themselves the “McHobbits”
Why “McHobbits”- That name came about from Terry’s shaggy hairstyle’s not so common in the States, along with Terry’s Scottish Nationality – so they put the “Mc” in front. But despite the comedy name they are fervent and passionate legion of fans. To show their respect and adoration for this artist it only took one post on Facebook Fan Page to move his army to action. The fans are proud to honor Terry’s mum to the ALS Association.
You can see the check presented to Terry and his band the Bonfires at One Eyed Jacks in NOLA on 8/17 at 9:00 PM. If you would like more information about ALS visit http://webla.alsa.org.
